UEFI Bootable USB Media

UEFI Media

In order to create media for a UEFI installation on a USB stick just copy the Lite Touch ISO contents (not ISO file) onto the (preferably blank) active FAT32 partition on a USB drive. When building a UEFI system it may be necessary to disable secure boot during the installation process, this can be reset when the final OS is in place.

  • Start DiskPart from the command prompt.
  • Use ‘List Disk’ to identify the USB media drive
  • Select Disk <disk no of USB disk>
  • Clean
  • Create Partition Primary
  • Format FS=fat32 quick
  • Active
  • Assign
  • Copy installation media onto the USB drive
